Privacy Policy

Who we are
Fantasy Basketball is an independent fantasy basketball app. The person responsible for it can be reached at fantasy-basket-wbasket@hotmail.com.
What we collect
Only what the game needs to work:
- Your email address and password. Used to sign you in and nothing else. The password is never stored in readable form.
- A recovery code. Generated once when you sign up, so you can get back into your account without email. We store only a one-way hash of it, which means we cannot read it or tell it to you.
- Your game data. The leagues you belong to, your squad, your bids and offers, your lineups and your points.
- Your team name, if you choose to set one.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, your device identifiers for advertising, or anything from other apps. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
What other people in your league can see
Managers in the same league see your team name, your squad, your points and your position in the table. They never see your email address. If you have not set a team name, you appear as an anonymous label such as "Manager 3F9A".
Where the data lives
The app stores its data with Supabase (PostgreSQL hosting), on servers in London, United Kingdom. If you are in the EU, that means your data is transferred to the UK, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection. Player names, teams and statistics come from ESPN's public endpoints and describe real games; they are not personal data about you.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app: open the side menu and choose Delete account. It asks you to confirm, and then it is gone.
If you no longer have the app installed, write to fantasy-basket-wbasket@hotmail.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete it for you within 30 days.
Deleting removes everything, straight away and for good: your login, your squads, your bids and offers, your lineups, your points and your league memberships. If you were the only member of a league, the league goes too; if you were its admin, it passes to another manager. It cannot be undone, and there is no backup we can restore you from.
While your account exists, we keep your data. We do not keep anything after it is deleted.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or erase your data. Deletion is available in the app itself; for anything else, write to the address above and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Age
The content is suitable for everyone. Fantasy Basketball is a fantasy game built on real NBA statistics: there is no violence, no gambling and nothing for adults only. Nothing in it is bought or paid for, and the money in the game is not real money.
Accounts are for ages 13 and up. Not because of the content, but because signing up needs an email address and a password, and we would rather not hold a child's email. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you are a parent and think your child has created an account, write to us at fantasy-basket-wbasket@hotmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.

Fantasy Basketball is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the NBA or any of its teams. Player names and statistics are used for identification in a fantasy sports context.
